2023.2.6. 큐티(Daily Devotional Study)

 

For he chose us in him before the creation of the worldto be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace(Ephesians 1:4-8)

 

Nowadays, I'm watching the tv show, the Chosen and reading the bible. 
I'm finding the bible scriptures approaching me more vividly. 
I could understand more of the scripture than before. 

I used to consider the characters in the bible as only CHARACTERS.
But, now I feel more intimate with those people including Jesus, the son of God. 
Jesus literally came down on the earth and did marvelous things and also suffered a lot after. 
He also had emotions as other humans. But, he could follow the will of God because he is always with God.

God sent Jesus to the earth knowing how much suffering he had to experience for us to be redeemed. 
Jesus knew what he had to do before he gave everything for us. 
He needed a lot of prayers to get through all the things he had to do.
Sometimes, he requested his disciples to pray for him. 

I genuinely appreciate God's mercy and grace. 
I didn't deserve this. But, he called my name and said that he predestined me. 
Paul said that happened in accordance with his pleasure and will.
I am so thankful for having God as my father. 
I sometimes take it for granted. But, I should not accept God's love like that.
I think I may need some time to study the old testament so that I can fully understand the meaning of this. 

I'm so thankful for this time with God this morning.
